Obituary of Joe Wright

Wright, Joseph (Joe) Passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 8, 2015 of heart failure at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville in his 88th year. Survived by his wife Dorrit of 66 years, his sons, Glenn (Debbie), David (Carol) and his daughter Susan, his grandchildren Jade and Kyle, Brittney and Cameron and Stephanie (Jimi), great grandchildren Chloe and Sophie and Sami and Kinsley. Predeceased by his sisters Vera, Ida and his brother Raymond . Joe was born and spent his younger years in Toronto. He married Doritt in July of 1949 and soon had a family of 3. Moving to Oakville, Joe was employed with Avro Canada for 15 years and was proud to be a part of the Avro Arrow legacy. After the closing of the Avro plant in 1959 Joe worked for Powco Steel retiring at age 55 allowing him to spend more time at his cottage at Wendake Beach on Georgian Bay. Joe was a self-made man typical of that era with an easy going manner and an terrific sense of humor. As he wished, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place with the ashes to be scattered in his much loved Georgian Bay. Remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice or the Alzheimer’s society at www.alzheimer.ca
