Obituary of George Cottingham

Cottingham, George Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Brampton Civic Hospital, Brampton on Saturday November 9th, 2019 at the age of 78. Cherished husband of Brenda; loving father of Bonnie, Dawn and Chris (Mardi); proud grandpa of Ty, Madi and Dylan; brother of Edward Cottingham and Anne Vizley. George is predeceased by his siblings Betty Carlton, Robert Cottingham and William Cottingham. George will be missed by his many other relatives and friends. George was an avid golfer and coached many local minor hockey and girls softball teams. He was the proud trainer for the Shelburne Muskies Senior Team, winning the Championship In the 1981 -1982 season. He also took great pride being the Commissioner for Shelburne Hydro. He was a proud member of the Shelburne Lions, past president. A Celebration of George’s Life will be held on Saturday November 23, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 220, 203 William Street, Shelburne, ON, in the front hall.
