I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

We're sorry to hear of Marion's passing, and wish to extend our heartfelt sympathy. Some of my favourite memories are gathering at Uncle Gordon & Aunt Gertie's house in St Jacobs, some 50 years ago. As mentioned in the memorial page, already then, Marion was always quick to make sure that we all had enough to eat and drink, being such a wonderful happy host.
Blessing to all of you
Judy & John

I read in the paper of the passing of your cherished Mom and devoted wife - our wonderful neighbour for a few years. We have such wonderful memories - our children loved her and didn't consider her a friend but a playmate - they called her 'Mee Mee'. I learned a lot from her - cooking and preserving - going to the market but most importantly the value of friendship. I can still hear the kids and her laughing as they ran around her house playing a game .... she will be missed terribly by all who knew her. We still live on Winfield and still miss our good neighbours - the Soltysiaks. You are all in our thoughts and prayers .... John, Joanne, Melissa (36), Andrew (34) and Heather (32) MacPhail

Dear Jim and Family: My very deep sympathy on the death of Marion. I read this today and remembered many family occasions and happy times with you and your Mom and Dad. Not long ago saw a picture in my album of you and Marion on my wedding day as you were my special driver that day. With prayers and sympathy for your loss, dear cousin. Barbara

Marion was so loved by everyone. She had a contagious laugh, which we heard a lot! I remember the house on Winfield, and she had an upstairs cat and a downstairs cat. Also there was a "portable" dishwasher which she had to drag around the kitchen. It was as tall as she was! We still talk about the dinners with her, when she said "You're not full, you're still breathing!" I also remember hearing about the time she babysat little Mary. Mary kept cracking open bananas, so Marion felt obliged to eat them. Finally she told Mary she couldn't eat anymore bananas! She was a great lady who welcomed everyone to her house. May her family and friends be comforted by great memories.
