It was quite a shock to hear of Fergie's passing. Although it has been quite a while since we have seen each other the memories are all pleasant. When there is a memorial I would appreciate a notice as John Bauman and I would like to attend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Very sorry to read of Fergus' passing. I remember his as a student in the Geography program at Erindale College in the late 70's. He left a lasting impression back then and will be fondly remembered.

We were very lucky to have had the opportunity to meet Fergie when we came to visit Canada, where he took us on an absolutely brilliant walking tour of Toronto. Fergie showed us so many things and shared stories about the city that he obviously loved so much. We will always remember that day that he made so special for us, and we were able to continue on that "tour" of Toronto through Fergie's brilliant daily photos on Instagram and FB, which will be surely missed. My condolenses to all of his family at this very sad time.

I was heartbroken to hear of dear Fergie’s passing. Although I have not seen Ferg for a number of years, I have many fond memories of him. He was such a kind and gentle soul, who cared deeply about his family and friends. He had a warm sincerity and genuine interest in people that made him a delight to be with. My heart goes out to the entire Flattery clan at the loss of your wonderful brother and uncle. You are a warm and loving family and these bonds will help you through this sad and difficult time. I am thinking of you all.

Fergus even though we were both born back in Ireland I think at heart you were way more Irish than me. Your interest and love in all things Irish went way beyond St. Patrick's Day, Guinness or blarney you knew all the facts and stories about the Irish in Canada. There were times when I saw you coming towards me to tell me yet another Irish Toronto story that I wanted to run screaming out the door. But you would tell it so carefully, with such Irishness, with such Fergusness pride about being Irish "sure you'd steal a heart away". You may have left Ireland all those years ago Fergus, but Ireland never left you. I promise when I am in Ireland this May I will raise a glass in your honour. My deepest condolences to your family.
much caring and joy as you were so proud to be Irish uch part of your soul
