Obituary of Norman Martin

William Norman Martin August 29, 1928 to August 6th, 2017 Norm Martin, Son of the late Gladys and Earl Martin of Inglewood. Husband of the late Ruth Waller 1953-1996, Husband of the late Sybil Gilgrass (Cook) 1999 -2014. Norm is Survived by his Son John Martin & Heonyoung Park and Daughter Lynda & Peter Noll; Grandchildren David (Andi Labey), Alicia (Matt Washington), Adam (Monica Keller), Amber (Skylar Schmidt) and Jesse, Great Grandchildren Braydon Noll, Alexis Dawson, Taylor and Parker Washington and Mieka Schmidt. Sadly missed by extended family, Step Son Nigel and Nancy Cook, their children Kyal (Lyndsay and son Chase), Brent and Kevin as well as Step Son Ian and Leslie Cook, and their children Michael and Joey. Past President of Peel Lodge, Past President of O.R.F.E.D.A , Member of the Tecumseh and Credit Valley Shrine Clubs. Norm started his business Norm Martin Sales in 1958 in Inglewood where he worked 6 days a week until the end of June 2017. He had a great sense of humour and enjoyed travelling and time spent with friends and family. Special thanks to Dr Craig Carson and the Bayshore nurses and Spectrum psw's for their caring home visits. Visitation and Celebration of Norm’s life to be held Friday August 11th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Monora Park Pavilion, Orangeville. Funeral to be held at Claude Presbyterian Church Saturday August 12th at 11am. Luncheon to follow and interment at Boston Mills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Shriners Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
