Obituary of Maris KARKLINS

Maris Karklins

December 28, 1955 – November 5, 2024

Maris Karklins, husband of Larisa Karklins, passed away suddenly on November 5th at the age of 68. Maris was a loving father to Viktor (Erin), Philip (Kate), Erik (Lex), Grace (Jonathan), and a Grandpa to Zeke. He is now joined in heaven with his son Alex. 

His faith was deep as he faced the hardships of life. 

Maris was incredibly patient, kind, and eternally optimistic. He loved to help people which was very evident in his work as an Assistive Technologist. He also never missed a chance to crack a dad joke or make a quarter magically appear behind your ear. 

Maris was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Compass Community Church (246289 Hockley Rd, Mono, ON L9W 6K4) on Tuesday November 19th. Visitation will begin at 12:00pm and the Service to begin at 1:00pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Enhancing Island Lake
