Obituary of Keaton Rollie COOK
Keaton Rollie Cook
January 1, 1995 - August 15, 2024
It is with profound sadness that the family of Keaton Rollie Cook, affectionately known as Keatie, announce his passing on August 15th, 2024 in his hometown of Orangeville, at the young age of 29.
Born on January 1, 1995, in Orangeville, he was the cherished son of Wendy Cook and Brian and Cathy Cook and loving brother to Hailey (Jordan), Jennifer (Kevin), Aaron, Christina (Darryl), Daniella (Kyle), and 3 nephews and 4 nieces. Keatie will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his Grandpa Petroski, Grandma and Grandpa Cook (Dollie) and Uncle Mike.
Keatie was not only a beloved brother and son, his life went far beyond. He was our teacher. He taught us to be thankful, patient, compassionate, to love unconditionally and above all, how to be better people. Keatie loved watching his nieces and nephews play and always had lots of infectious laughs for them. He also treasured his time and adventures with his many buddies over the years. His favourite day of the year was “anyone’s birthday” as it meant that his favourite song “Happy Birthday” would be sung followed by a big smile and his vocal approval. A belly laugh was also guaranteed with any rendition of “Herman the Worm”. You could always get his undivided attention when offering up some chocolate or Cheezies at snack time.
Keatie’s legacy of smiles, giggles and love for family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Saying he will be deeply missed but never forgotten is an absolute understatement.
A special thank you to all those involved in Keatie’s care over his 29 years of life. Your compassion and professionalism helped him to live a full and happy life. There are no words for the impact that you had on him and his family. We are forever grateful for you all.
A service to celebrate Keatie’s life will be held at the Compass Community Church - 246289 Hockley Road, Mono, ON L9W 6K4, on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024 at 12:00 Noon. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.

"Safely Home"
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus's love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus's arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remained -
You shall rest in Jesus's land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
