Obituary of Daryl William ENGLISH

June 6, 1975 - November 27, 2023

It is with extreme sorrow we share that Daryl William English, at the young age of 48, left us all too soon on Monday, November 27, 2023. 

Daryl was born in Etobicoke, raised in Orangeville, and spread his wings in Toronto. He had many lifelong friends that he loved and the circle continued to grow when moving to Toronto where he enjoyed life with his friends, colleagues and loving husband, Chris.

Daryl was an amazing and kind man who brought laughter, joy, pleasure and friendship to all who knew him. He was a very creative, talented and generous person. He was well known for being easy to talk to and for his thoughtfulness and consideration for others. Daryl had a natural passion for his sense of style; sense of adventure to see the world; pleasure of music & trivia; a love of plants and his garden; a joy of cooking; a flawless knack for entertaining and then sharing all these talents with everyone who had the great opportunity to come into his life.

Daryl was very committed and relished his lifelong career in the hospitality industry. He took particular pride in being the Senior Bartender for over a decade at the prestigious Shangri-La Hotel.

Daryl was loved by many, but mostly by his devoted husband, Chris Devers, his caring mother, Noella English, his first friend and younger sister, Kelly English and his father, John English. Also, we cannot forget his sweet dogs Dakota (deceased) and more recently Teddy. Daryl will be missed by the countless number of friends and family he shared his vibrant and wondrous life with.  

Daryl’s soft and gentle soul will always be with us. We are so blessed to have a vast amount of wonderful memories to cherish, which will help us navigate this huge loss in our lives. 

We want to assure everyone, that the stream of support we have received has been a genuine comfort to all of us during this challenging and difficult time. 

A Celebration of Daryl's life, has been planned for Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Hogan's Restaurant - 12998 Keele Street, King City Ontario from 1:30pm - 4:30pm.
