I had the pleasure of being Ruby's Nurse, and I am so blessed that I got to meet her. She was funny and full of spunk. We would sit and she would ask me about my family. She truly had the kindest heart. My thought are with you all during your time of loss.

Not too many people have had the luxury of knowing their GREAT grandmother, but I have. Grandma J was so special. She had a pure heart, was loving, an amazing baker, warm, sweet and the head of our family. Now she’s with God and I know Papa J greeted her in heaven, with Butch, Uncle Tim, grandma Penny, and Great uncle Bill. It’s not a goodbye but I’ll see you later, Grandma J. You are very loved, respected, and treasured. A beautiful soul. I feel blessed to have known you and be related to such a wonderful lady. I feel so heart broken that you’re gone but I know you’re in a better place. I will love you forever. And I know many people feel the same way.

Mrs. Jackson’s house was always open to us as kids. My fondness memory was finding her in the kitchen baking and no one baked a chocolate cake like she did.
I haven’t tasted one as good as hers to this day.
