Ramona "Mona" Laila Rozenberg

July 19 1965 - April 17 2023

Mona, the keeper of our hearts, passed away peacefully on April 17th 2023 at 4:20p.m, surrounded by family and friends.

Devoted mother to Crystal and Amber Rozenberg (Brock Glassford) and Jennifer Van Forsch and her fur baby Buddy. Cherished sister to Miranda Rozenberg ( David Gauthier). Adored Grammy to Justice, Branden, Keenan, Connor, Delilah, Rylee, Kolton, Bryson and Charlotte. Dearest aunt to Christine and Jamie Bianco (Matthew Markovic). Admired great aunt to Bellamay, Nevaeh, Layla and Noah. Beloved friend to all who met her.

In December of 2020, Mona was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and was given just 3 weeks to live. She defeated all odds like the true warrior she was, and lived for almost another 2 and a half years!  She spent those years soaking up as much time as she could with family and friends and traveling all over Ontario with her sister Miranda and "my Dave" creating memories that will last a lifetime!! She fought to the bitter end, and showed just how strong we all knew she was.

Mona lived an incredible life, one that is difficult to describe in so little words. From her birth in Toronto, her adoption with her sister, the Malton and rexdale days, to life in Brampton. Raising Jenn and the birth of her two daughters, Crystal and Amber. Later in life she faced the loss of her eldest, Jennifer and took in her two grandchildren without hesitation. As the years went by, a few more grandkids came along and she spoiled them all, showering them in love and making sure every holiday was one to remember! She always had a passion for her job and loved her coworkers. She took great pride in her work, but the incredible staff at MAPS made all the difference. They brought so much joy to her life, and she absolutely adored each and every one of them. She watched countless hours of " Days of our lives" which soon turned to crime shows and The Walking Dead. She collected almost every tin she could find and sometimes would fill them with random things. She loved her rock music and was even caught jamming out to "Apple bottom jeans". She loved playing cards, Scrabble and going to bingo and having a hen fest with her besties for hours, was one of her favorite past times.

Her love and devotion to her family and friends was indisputable. Through tragedy and hardship, it never wavered. During celebrations she was the first in line to cheer you on and share in your joy.  She had a great sense of humor and always tried to find the best in everything and everyone. She was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, even if that meant giving them her last 20$. Mona was the definition of love. She gave it unconditionally to anyone she met, their lives enriched just by knowing her. Her life was filled with countless memories that will live on in us for the rest of our lives. She will be deeply missed.

Always & Forever xo
