Forty years of friendship
BFF- Best Friend Forever
Trading Friendship pins was a popular thing in 1983. These are safety pins that you decorated with little beads and put on your shoes laces. Kids would trade them. I had spent that summer making many.
On the first day of grade five at Kleinburg Public School I stood nervous and scared against the wall not knowing anyone.
In the busy playground kids saw my pins and started taking them. I was so happy. I thought this is great. And then who I thought were going to be my new friends - left and went running off to play and doing what 9-year-olds do.
I remember looking down at my shoes they were empty and then looking beside me and there she was with a big smile, brown eyes, short bangs and long dark hair my forever best friend who from that day on never left.
Our families were close, spent holidays together. We grew up together. We have been thru it all - school, graduation, teenage years, relationships, pregnancy, divorce and babies
Sue you were my rock when I lost my mom.
You were my backbone when I was going thru my divorce.
Thank you for loving Carson, Claire and Lillian. You were always so good to them. Never a dull moment with Aunt-Suzie.
You definitely expanded their vocabulary so much that Claire would bring a homemade swear jar on our trips and would always come back with it full of money.
I love your girls.
Jackie and Maddi I will always be there for you and will remind you of how much your mom loved you.
Praying Suezeeq that you have found your peace and joy, you’re diving into the ocean and all your pain is gone.
Forty years of friendship, not many people are so lucky.
Thank you for being my BFF.

My deepest sympathy to Vivian, Robert , Stephen, Wendy , Ronnie, Bonnie and Michael and partners and children especially to Jacklyn and Madison . Susan was my flowers girl when I got married in 1980 , She was always like my child yet she was my ister in-law. I have many wonderful memories and stories that one day I could share. I always wished her only the best in life and now she is an angel. Amazing journey Susan to heaven. Love Gail Luyben-Powers
