Obituary of Darrell STACKHOUSE

February 9, 1947 - October 7, 2021 Peacefully at Toronto General Hospital. Beloved husband of Fiona (the love of his life for 54 years.) Loving father of Ian (Luke) and Lisa (André.) Grandad to Aidan, Xavier and Emily. He will be sadly missed by all of our family. He is predeceased by his mother, Florence (McCarville,) his father Roy, his brothers Leslie, Harold, and his beloved sister-in-law Barbara. He is fondly remembered by his surviving brothers Roy, Wayne (Florence) and Garry (Mary). Also remembered by his in-laws in Scotland and by nieces and nephews too numerous to mention, along with great nieces, and nephews in Scotland, Norway, Italy and Australia!!! He was such a fun loving guy who lived life to the fullest right until the very end. He will be missed by his many friends in Ontario, his native Nova Scotia as well as PEI and all across Canada! He loved travelling with his wife Fiona and his brother Wayne and sister-in-law Florence to Barbados, Scotland, Ireland and elsewhere in Europe and Australia. He also loved his two 1979 Cadillacs - which were his " babies." He had many trips driving them to the Maritimes until he sold the last one upon retiring in 2015. Thanks to all the doctors, nurses and the other staff at Eaton South in the Acute Care Wing 14th floor of Toronto General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion! Cremation has taken place. Internment will be private for the family only at a date in November. A "Celebration of Life" will follow likely in the spring (e.g. March or April 2022) Donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
