I first met Dennis in the spring of 2013 at the Woodstock Radio Control Flying Club. Dennis was an existing member and he helped welcome me as a new member. He also introduced me to other members and friends Dave Tune and Jamie Bain. Not long after we met at the flying club, Dennis inquired about where I lived and it became apparent that he worked at the model home sales office directly across from my house, and may have noticed me moving large radio controlled planes in and out! We quickly became friends on and off the field. He was quick to laugh, joke and share stories about his life experiences. I valued the efforts Dennis made to facilitate gatherings and he always made the effort to come visit, even after he moved away from Woodstock. Dennis was the kind of friend that will leave a significant impact on myself and everyone who knew him. His clever personality will be greatly missed and I was privileged to have known him.

I was so saddened to hear of Dennis’ passing. I first met Dennis in 2013 through the Woodstock Radio Control Club. I so appreciated Dennis’ welcoming and outgoing spirit, always going out of his way to chat with me when I attended with my husband. I am very grateful that we had the opportunity to host Dennis along with Jamie Bain and Dave Tune at our home, for supper, tea or just quick hello. I was always happy to see his blue van pull in and knew I was in for some good stories and great company. Dennis always spoke so highly of his children and Grandchildren and I am sorry for your loss. He had a way of showing sincere interest in everyone he met and I will keep the memory of him alive as I know all who met him will.
