Obituary of Wallace Little ELGIE

Wallace Little Elgie December 4th, 1925 - July 12th, 2021 Passed away peacefully at Headwaters Hospital in Orangeville, with his family by his side. Predeceased by his wife, Barbara (McCutcheon) (deceased 2016). Father of Gwen (deceased 1993) and Jim Henry, Nancy and Gordon Conner, Larry Elgie and Julie Stewart (deceased 2020) and John and Barb Elgie. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jeff, Kimberly, Brianna, Teresa, Jesse, Diva, Raynor, Taylor, Peter, Lucas, and by his 11 great grandchildren. Wallace took great pride in this family. Also predeceased by his parents Herbert and Violet Elgie, his brother Allen and Joan Elgie and his brother-in-law’s Don and Bill McCutcheon. He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Myrtle McCutcheon, nephews, Jamie and Bill McCutcheon and nieces, Judy Clayton, and Susan Dolson. Wallace was a healthy, strong, independent man throughout his life. His great passions included his family, potato farming, curling and coffee chats with his many friends. He had travelled abroad to many places, enjoyed going on “crop tours” with his friends and was often found socializing with his condo, curling and legion communities. He lived a long, active, and full life. He will be remembered as a hardworking, loving husband, great father, fun loving grandfather, and great friend.
