Obituary of Anthony Mars McGUINESS
Mars McGuiness
Mars crossed over on Monday 27th April aged 86 years young, with complications from pneumonia, with the only person that he wanted by his side, his wife, Hazel.
He loved to learn and was an avid reader and scholar. Mars could string words into sentences, that weaved into a tapestry that left all who listened spellbound and waiting for more. He was funny, quick witted, charismatic, and a true gentleman and above all – he was very kind. He took his responsibility to his four legged friends, indeed any of ‘god’s living creatures’ very seriously and he made sure that all were taken care of – always!
He leaves behind, his wife and partner, Hazel, of 36 years who he loved. He also leaves behind family in the UK and many friends who will miss him dearly.
The best way to describe Mars was said by a young man several years ago, he said
Mars is the most interesting man in the world......and he’s English.
Mars would have loved that!!!
Once the whole social distancing is behind us – then a gathering will take place to honour Mars. Details to follow.
Donations would be appreciated to either Alzheimer’s Society Dufferin County or Hospice Dufferin.
In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc. has been given the honour to serve the McGuiness family.
