Obituary of Wilma Gardhouse

Gardhouse, Wilma Jean (nee Hostrawser) Peacefully with family at her side at the Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville on Tuesday February 24, 2015 in her 90th year; loved wife of the late George Gardhouse(2004) (married Sept. 27, 1947); loving mother of David (Pauline), Brian (Judy), Bill (Darlene (2008)); devoted Nanny of Jonathan (Nicole), Janene Donnelly (Jimmy), Melanie Prevost (Mike), Krista Fullerton (Ryan), Lisa Windling (Travis), Sara, and Brianne (2012), cherished great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Ferne Armstrong (Todd (2008)), Bill Hostrawser (Alice(2008)), predeceased by her siblings George Hostrawser (Margaret; Ruth), Muriel Dodd (James), Marion McDonald (Lloyd), Bruce Hostrawser (Hilary). Wilma will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. As per Wilma’s wishes an extended family Memorial Service will be held Monday March 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at Mayfield United Church, 12496 Dixie Road, Brampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society at www.arthritis.ca or a charity of choice. A special thank you to the staff of the Avalon for their excellent care over the last few months.
