Dear Ray, Jamie, Heather, Raymond, Hailey and Jade:
Thank you for sharing your special lady with the world. It is better for having had her in it. Working at Hilldale was a great privilege and Pat couldn't have been a better teaching colleague and friend. While our special group is lessened yet again, we are enriched by her influence. She will, no doubt, have been welcomed already by another Hilldale angel, Nancy Hunter, and they will continue their eternal journeys with the same love and joy they shared here. I'm sure her mantra, as she taught to her Kindy kids, will be "We Will Rock You!" May you find much laughter in your memories of beloved Pat.
God bless you all at this time,

Dear Weatherbee Family
Mrs. Weatherbee was my grade 3 teacher at Clark Blvd PS. 1974/75 She was one of my most favourite teachers as I went through school. She was kind, sweet and encouraging. She had something positive to say to every student. I truly loved her and have a very special place in my heart for her. As I got older, I would quite often see her at the City Centre and she would stop and chat and was always interested in my life. The last time I saw her was a number of years ago at North Bramalea United Church when her grandson went to the vacation bible camp. She had a smile that could light up a room. My deepest condolences to you all. Prayers that God will comfort you in your time of sorrow. xoxo

It's been 30 years since I had the pleasure of being in Mrs. Weatherbee's grade 1 class at Hilldale P.S. Yet I can still clearly remember her first loving and inspiring exchange with me on the first day. She helped give me confidence and a big smile that day, which I am sure helped shape my love of school from then on. I regret not reaching out to express my gratitude when Hilldale marked her retirement a few years ago. After all these years, I can still remember her vividly. I hope her family finds a measure of comfort knowing that her spirit lives on in all the young hearts she touched.

I'm sorry to hear of Mrs. Weatherbee's passing. It is a great loss. My condolences go to her family and friends. She was a great teacher and a great person. She was my teacher for Grade 1, in 1986-1987 and I always remembered her. I brought my sister in for Show & Tell (my sister was about 6 months old at the time). My younger brother and sister both had her as a teacher, as did my niece and nephew, many years later. She will be missed by many.

I’d like to express my deepest condolences to Mrs. Weatherbee’s family at this time. Like many of us, I had Mrs. Weatherbee as my kindergarten teacher at Hilldale. I am honour to follow the footsteps of Mrs. Weatherbee, as I am now a teacher, educator, and lifelong learner myself. I will always remember her for her kindness, as she would always say hi and ask “how am I’m doing?” when she saw me when I cut through Hilldale for a shot cut on my way home from high school. It means alot when someone remembers your name after so many years and all the students she had.

To the Weatherbee Family,
Mrs. Weatherbee was a true angel on earth. She was a true teacher to all the children she taught. Her happy face and friendly smile always put every child as well as parent at ease. My children were very lucky to have had her in their lives. She was also great in understanding the plight for multiplies and really helped in getting my twins settled through their first years of school. She never expected anything in return but when the kids gave her something, no matter how big or small, her face would light up and she made the kids feel like they just gave her the best gift in the world. Mrs. Weatherbee was a true saint and will be missed. Heaven has received a true angel. God Bless you all.

Mrs. Weatherbee was my grade 1 teacher at Hilldale PS back in the mid eighties (and also teacher to my brothers). I never forgot her growing up and visited even into my high school days just to catch-up. She was the teacher everyone wanted to have back then (no surprise there) and is still one of my absolute favourite educators. She had an incredible gift working with children and I’m terribly saddened to hear of her passing away. I’ll never forget singing/doing the actions for “Junior Birdsmen” (one of my earliest school memories- and a song I now sing with my 4yr old daughter while thinking of her) and that crazy, HUGE truck she drove. Being such a petite woman, seeing her getting outta that thing always made me laugh/smile as a kid. She had that forever lol! Many blessings to the family- you truly had one of the most genuine, funny (she had the greatest laugh & smile) and caring women to be able to call your own. I hope it gives you peace knowing that she had such a profound effect on so many lives, at one’s most important & critical stage of development- childhood. She was one of the best. With Much Love and Gratitude For All She Did, Laura Sawa (nee Bryant)

God bless you all at this time,
Lesley Risinger

I’d like to express my deepest condolences to Mrs. Weatherbee’s family at this time. Like many of us, I had Mrs. Weatherbee as my kindergarten teacher at Hilldale. I am honour to follow the footsteps of Mrs. Weatherbee, as I am now a teacher, educator, and lifelong learner myself. I will always remember her for her kindness, as she would always say hi and ask “how am I’m doing?” when she saw me when I cut through Hilldale for a shot cut on my way home from high school. It means alot when someone remembers your name after so many years and all the students she had.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Pat and her family. Pat was a wonderful teacher to my boys at Hilldale Public School in Brampton. I made sure and told her before they moved away that she was a huge part in my kids' transition when we first moved to the area. "Mrs. Weatherbee" as we always called her brought my children out of their shells and she truly was one of a kind...rest in peace Pat ♥

Prayers that God will comfort you in your time of sorrow. xoxo

Pat was one of the first people I met when I was posted as principal to Hilldale. She helped me fit in and always had a smile and laugh for everyone. Whenever the day's difficulties became too much, all I had to do was go to her room and relax and enjoy being with her and her charges. They loved her and she gave them the best start ever on their educational journey. She spread her joy of living to everyone. How wonderful to have had her in our lives. Let us remember her by passing on that joy. Love to all her family. Denise
