Obituary of Brian Preston

PRESTON, Brian Cecil Pontefract Yorkshire February 16, 1933~ Orangeville, Ontario August 19, 2015 Passed away peacefully at the Avalon Care Centre at the age of 82. Brian is survived by his loving wife Shirley, sons Robert (Dina), Chris (Karmell) and Paul; Cherished grandfather of Aaron, Kathleen and Raquel. Brian did his British National Service as a Royal Engineer in Egypt. He then immigrated with his young family to Canada in 1965. After moving to Canada Brian worked as a drafting and civil engineer for Boeing (McDonnell Douglas), and Kilborn Engineering. An avid gardener, Brian was a member of the Orangeville Horticultural society. In his retirement years, Brian enjoyed volunteering as a bartender at the Lord Dufferin Centre pulling pints for various social events. A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 233, 7 John St. Orangeville, on Thursday August 27, 2015 at 1 pm, with a light reception afterward.
