Obituary of Charles Arthur Gunn

Gunn, Charles Arthur Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville on Thursday November 7th, 2019 at the age of 90. Cherished husband of 61 years to Joan (nee Ehnes); loving father to Kevin Gunn (Hilda); proud grampy to Melissa (Tyler) and Ryan (Robyn); great grampy to Annabelle and Noah. Predeceased by his parents Maytie and Arthur Gunn and brothers David, Donald and Robert. Charles was also known as Chuck, Chas, Red, Dad and Grampy to his family and friends. He was a member of the Canadian Army and was trained as a parachutist. Charles grew up with 3 brothers in Weston, Ontario. He loved cottage life at Six Mile Lake, golf, winters as a snowbird in Florida and always enjoyed barbequing. Charles was in the trucking industry for many years as an Owner/Operator, Truck Salesman, Kenworth Canada Executive and OTA Service to the industry award winner. “Until we meet again, may the road rise to meet you. May the wind be at your back.” A private family burial has taken place at Greenwood Cemetery, Orangeville. A Celebration of Charles’ Life will be held on Saturday November 30, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the In Memoriam Life Celebration Centre, 633419 Highway 10, Mono, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Headwaters Health Care Foundation, Orangeville or SickKids Hospital, Toronto.
