Obituary of Matthew Joseph Smeets

Smeets, Matthew Joseph G. Passed away peacefully on Monday May 15 2017 at Caressant Care, Arthur, Ont. at the age of 88. Matthew will be sadly missed by his special friends Nadine, Chris, Keaton, Kurtis, Ruth and his best friends. Matthew was born May 1 1929 in Belgium and immigrated to Canada in 1954. Matthew is survived by his wife of 65 years Maria, three of his four sons and two daughters. Alice Price (Robert), Garry Smeets (Hilda), Chris Smeets, Mike Smeets (Connie), Patrick Smeets (predeceased), Audrey Pignatell (Joe). He is also survived by his sister Else and 8 grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A celebration of Life to honor Matthew will be held on Saturday June 10th, 2017 at the Royal Canadian Legion Orangeville Branch 233-7 John St Orangeville, Ontario L9W 2Z5 from 7pm-12am.
