Obituary of Robert John Hallman
Hallman, Robert
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert “Rob” John Hallman announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday August 1 2018, in his 62nd year. Rob battled Crohn’s disease throughout his life and had in recent months, discovered he had cancer. He was born in Hanover hospital on September 7th 1956. Rob lived his adolescent years in Port Elgin, then moved to Elmira as a young adult where he lived for the rest of his life. It was in Port Elgin that he discovered his greatest passion of motorcycles. He would often be seen cruising the strips of Lake Huron. Rob greatly enjoyed visiting friends and family where they would share music, movies and “bike talk”. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his mother Myrtle Hallman of Hanover. He is preceded in death by his father Edgar Hallman. He will also be greatly missed by his sisters, Carolyn Shea of Hanover, Brenda Smith (preceded in death by brother in law John Smith) of Wasaga Beach, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. A service in memory of Rob will be held on Saturday August 18th 2018 at 2:00pm at the St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church 378 10th St Hanover. A memorial visitation to share memories will precede starting at 1:00pm. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Rob to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada or Canadian Cancer Society. www.crohnsandcolitis.ca or www.cancer.ca
