Helen Oliveira posted a condolence
Helen Oliveira & Patrick Lock-Wah-Hoon,
We used to work with Paul at Carlton Cards and just found out about his passing. We also used to see him the odd time at the Bramalea City Centre and would chat with him. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Paul made quite an impression in my childhood. Although he was at the house to see Tim & John, he always took time for the rest of the Sullivans. His love of photography and videos inspired me and my love for photography. He was such a gentle giant and I am thankful for the many memories of his visits.

Neighbours for 42 years. You were an Amazing guy so full of knowledge of all kinds of things. We had many nights, having tea after you walked Sammy and caught up on what was happening in the “hood”, Politics and Life in general. Lots of laughs together, lots of Tea. Your going to be so missed, actually you already are. Rest In Peace our Dear Friend, until we meet again. Xoxo
Brian and Sue.

paul was and is a friend of the Sullivan family, I am 53 today, and as a boy in the 70s, paul would always make me laugh, with his antics in our backyard, I met with him at no frills across from where I live, and I was always glad to see him again, a good man, in my youth, and asked how he was, and he told me of his cancer, and said say a prayer for me, and I did later on, but my memories of him as a young lad is fond for sure, at the cottage in the 70s, when he would roll up on his bike, took me for a ride one day, and being from a family of 15, and lost in it at times, he always took time for me, god bless you paul.

Dirt bikes, Bowie knives, throwing tomahawks ... everything was about the outdoors and adventure. Paul and I spent most of the seventies “hanging out”, watching John Wayne movies, (remember the Alamo!), trying to get his 200cc Triumph to start, getting yelled at by Harold because we didn’t know what we were doing, and finally touring southern Ontario on his 900 ...
I often think of the movie My Body Guard when I remember Paul. We were an odd couple. I was 4 years younger and a skinny little kid and Paul was a gentle giant. During the seventies he was part of the family as we built the cottage near Parry Sound. In the 80,s marriage and raising children (on my part) came along and Paul and I lost touch.
Paul will always be remembered fondly by the entire Sullivan family. We were blessed to have him as part of our lives growing up.
Sincere condolences to Michael and John and your families.
Tim Sullivan

I attended public school and high school with Paul when we called this area Bramalea. An enduring memory involved him losing some front teeth in an automobile accident in the late 1960s. Our paths diverged for many years and crossed again about ten years ago. I will miss seeing him driving along Ascot Avenue. You are missed my friend.

Paul, Roger, John and I used to spend hours playing with those little green army men we all had back then. The last time I dropped by, Paul still had his, plus many more. He also taught us to ride his bike (Triumph 80cc I think) on the dirt hills that are now Bramalea City Centre and all the condo towers. He was a guy of his time, a solid friend who didn't put up with any guff. God bless you and keep you Paul. You'll be missed. Cheers!
