Obituary of Edith Melhuish

Edith Melhuish, born in London, England on May 17, 1925, passed away peacefully in her 94th year at the Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, Ontario on the evening of October 28, 2018. She was predeceased by her loving husband Philip William Melhuish. Beloved mother of Martin Melhuish and Christine (Melhuish) Broster (husband Peter Broster), devoted grandmother of Heather Broster (husband Mathieu Gasquet) and Nicholas Broster and dear sister of Irene Thorndike, Shirley Comber and Linda Clouder. She was a pillar of strength and an inspiration to her children and grandchildren, dedicating her life to her family even as she spent more than 25 years as Executive Assistant to the President of a leading Toronto-based distributor of construction supplies. A celebration of life will be held in Canada and the U.K., where the majority of her extended family lives.
