Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Hutchings

HUTCHINGS, Mary Elizabeth of Hillsburgh, Ontario passed away with family by her side at Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the age of 81. Loving Mother of Elaine, Joanne (Robert) and David (Tracy); cherished Grandmother of Timothy (Kate), Eric (Megan), Justin, Nicole, and Sarah and proud Great Grandmother of Rain. She will be missed by her sister Phyllis (Frank) and her brother Ted (Peggy). Mary is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Grace and her daughter Theresa. Mary was a proud cat owner to her beloved Leonard, as well as many other kitties who came before. She was well known for her passionate quilt making and will be missed dearly by the many friends she made through the local Quilt Guild. She happily devoted much of her time to charitable causes and tirelessly helping to improve the lives of those in need. This was achieved especially through her work with the Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario, Seniors for Seniors and All Saints Anglican Church in Erin. Her family and friends will always remember her as a beacon of kindheartedness and compassion, a spirited lover of music and for her lifelong devotion to God. Our family would like to thank the kind and skilled nurses at the Guelph General Hospital and also to Dr. Le, Dr. Lala and Dr. Naeeb for their professional assistance and care. Our family would also like to thank Randy and Emma at In Memoriam Funeral Services for their professional and thoughtful services. Memorial service for Mary will be held in the spring.
