Dear Beverly and Family. I was so sorry to hear of Merv's passing. Peter Marshall and I were hoping to attend the Celebration of Life to express our condolences. However, the weather took a turn for the worse. Over the years, I always looked forward to meeting up with Merv. He was an absolute gentleman, very much respected and held in high esteem by all who had the good fortune of meeting him. Merv will not be forgotten. Sincerely, Bob and Valerie Thomas

Val and I were greatly saddened to hear of Merv's passing. He was a true patriot and we enjoyed the various conversations (and his books - I just re-read his book Chief/Constable) with him over the years.

So sorry to have heard of Merv's passing over the Christmas holidays. I especially enjoyed meeting him and talking with him since I have been coming to Primrose Church, I especially appreciated him making the coffee for me when I had asked him at Church, the combinations he mixed were wonderful.
