Obituary of Donald William DEARLOVE

DONALD WILLIAM DEARLOVE, 85 years young

Don Dearlove, born July 8, 1939, died peacefully on November 26, 2024, surrounded by his family. Don was a loving husband and father. He is survived by Ruth, his wife of 63 years, and their children: Larry (Gloria), Linda (Bill), Randy (Katherine), April (Shawn), and Peter; their grandchildren: Katarina, Isabella, Luke (Jane), Morgan, Olivia, Nate, Holly, Brett, Cara; and great-grandchildren: Leah, Emmett, and Andrea Jane. 

Don considered his hobby to be “people” and loved to talk to anyone and everyone! His infectious smile and laugh would brighten your day. He enjoyed his Church, his family, many friends, and watching sports. He was an active member of his church and passionate about helping and serving others.

Although he experienced a short 24-hour battle, he showed strength and determination right until the end. 

A Memorial Service for a Celebration of Don’s Life is planned for Saturday, November 30,2024, at the Rexdale Alliance Church, (2459 Islington Avenue, Etobicoke, ON). starting at 10:00 am with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation of non-perishables to fill the Rexdale Alliance food bank, which he helped found many years ago, or to a charity of your choice in memory of Don.
