Linda was a very funny woman. She always had me smiling with tales of growing up in Atikokan. She always seemed to have such a positive outlook.

In August 2022, Linda and I spent a wonderful and fun day at the Scottish Highlands Festival in Fergus. The weather was perfect, a hot summer's day, and both our moods were high. Both of us kept smiling or laughing at the many colourful kilts we saw men and women wearing. In between watching burly men throwing heavy objects across the field, we chatted and exchanged stories and got to know each other better. A couple more friends of mine joined us halfway through the day and the four of us had a nice British afternoon tea in one of the event tents. Linda and I had a full and joyous day out and I have always cherished the memory of that outing with a friend as warm, vibrant and interesting as Linda. I will miss her ebullient and fun personality.

I didn't know Linda well, but enough to know that I wanted to learn more. I am fairly new to the area and our paths only crossed a few times. Alas, time was cut short. LInda exuded positive energy and even made a joke about how she forgot who I was when I delivered food last winter. My heart goes out to her family.......how loved she was and will be forever. The world needs more people like Linda.

I can only imagine how difficult this time is for all of Linda’s family. It must seem so unfair to have this disease steal her from you. Please extend my condolences to Linda’s entire family. You are all in my heart as Linda will always be.
I have known Linda for close to 30 years in a variety of capacities. Since I moved to Mexico, we forged an even closer and special friendship, and I have been so fortunate to share that friendship. She was an amazing woman, her strength, her humor, her caring heart. The Mexican culture believes that there are three deaths. The First death is that of the physical death of the body. The Second death is the burial of the body. The Third death is the moment when someone's name is spoken for the last time. Linda will be alive in our hearts and minds for a very long time.

I first met Linda on the Orangeville badminton courts about 30 years ago. Besides being an outstanding player, she was one of the most positive people I know, even after the challenges she faced with her health. She usually had a cheery grin and and her laugh was infectious. I have learned much more about Linda through the obituary; what an accomplished woman. She will be missed by so many. My sincere condolences go out to her beautiful daughters and son, and all the family.

Every once in a while, you come across a friend who ''gets'' you in a way that not many people do. She's there without judgement, celebrates your joys without envy, and understands your silence. Linda was not just a friend but my soul sister. Her unwavering support and relentless happy go lucky demeanour has brought profound meaning to the word friendship for me. My life will be forever changed because of her in it, and now a beautiful memory of it.
To Jason, Alex, Olivia, Laura and Vicky...
Matt, Jenna and I wish to express our deepest condolences to you in the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful person and the world has experienced a great loss.
Our love to the Punstel and Boileau families.

We first met Linda through our daughter’s friendship with Olivia almost 30 years ago. Through that friendship another one grew between Linda and my wife, Dee Dee. Linda and Dee were like two peas in a pod, cycling together, watching cooking shows, going for walks and sharing much laughter along the way. Linda was an exceptionally kind and loving person. I am so happy that our paths crossed and that Dee Dee had the good fortune of having Linda as a close friend for so many years. I know she will be sorely missed by many. Our heartfelt condolences to Jason, Alex, Olivia, Laura, Vicky and the entire family. You are a wonderful legacy of your mother’s love.

Linda was an instant friend that I meet through choir. I didn’t know her long but it didn’t take long to be her friend. She was one of those rare encounters with someone who you instantly trust and can be yourself with. Such a warm and open personality and so generous with her time. She always made me feel welcome. Opened her home up for practices and even introduced me to a few of her beautiful daughters. Her smile of welcome at practices warmed my heart. I appreciate the effort put in to her obituary, as I hadn’t known all of her accomplishments. She spoke of her love and pride of her family mostly. We compared experiences of growing up in Northern Ontario. She came from simple beginnings but she lived it large. I will miss her, as I think of her often and send my sympathy to her family that will miss her terribly. She is with you…always.

I met Linda through volunteering at the Foodbank. I didn't know her long, or very well, but she certainly left an impact on me.
Through our Monday morning chats I learned of her love of singing in the choir, cycling, travel and mostly her family. She spoke with such love, enthusiasm and joy.
My deepest sympathies to her family, friends and everyone whose life she touched.
