Ken PANDURO-HANSEN

Obituary of Ken PANDURO-HANSEN

Please share a memory of Ken to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

December 29, 1935 – August 27, 2024

It is with saddened hearts that we share the passing of Ken beloved husband, father, and Papa.  He quietly passed away at the great age of 88.  Loved by his wife Carol and their three daughters Jordanna, Sophie (Ashley), and Jade (Jeff).  As well as his daughter Debra whom he had lost connections with.

He will be missed by his many grandchildren Dane (Eriko), Kyle (Crysta-Lee), Megan (Shane), Eric (Holly), Joshua (Brittney), Olivia (Jonathan), Alexandre (Maddie), Jared, Renai, and Beatrice.  His great grandchildren Easton, Maya, Riley, Jack, Damon, Sara, Julian, Layken, Svein, Maskwa, Oliver and Kanute.

Special friend to Ken and the family is Guillermo Nievas. They had a joking camaraderie that never faltered through the years.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Astrid, and brother Kim. Remembered by his sister Maiken (Don).

We say goodbye to Ken, Dad and Papa. He had been struggling with dementia and the effects of that for several years but managed to always keep his sense of humour. He loved a game of cards, but was a terribly sore loser.  Our Dad yelled and screamed, drank and played loud music, cooked with passion but like his grandsons, always needed a sous chef. He loved technology and sci fi, his favourite was Star Trek and was one of the things we enjoyed together.  He leaves behind a family with a bunch of Trekkies.  Dad loved a good garage sale and came home with many treasures. Our Dad was a character right out of a movie, with more charisma than a star.

Memories of driving through the hills of Caledon in his convertible with his arm across me and my sister as if no speed limit existed, his jade green Buddha, and how he fixed our car with foil from a cigarette package on a stormy winter night. We will miss his smile and his zest for life.
