Patricia (Trish) McBain

May 19, 1947 - August 23, 2024

Patrica “Trish” McBain, 77, of Fergus, ON, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family at 11:11pm, August 23rd 2024.

Born in 1947 in Scotland to Hilda MacDonald and William McBain, and sister to Myra Adams and William “Bill” McBain. Trish married Dave Smith in 1969 and they went on to have 3 children, Christian, Rebecca and Allison Smith. She is forever cherished by her 7 grand children (Courtney, Gaige, Mia, Hunter, Kaleb, Liam, and Ellie) and 4 great grandchildren (Tate, River, Koa and Luka), who she cared for tremendously. Often called “Yellow Grandma” for her signature blonde hair, she was also known for her infectious laugh, strong empathy, and her unconditional love and nuture to everyone of her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
