Carolina Hubertina MISCHKE (nee van Bree)

May 22, 1941 – August 11, 2024

Carolina Mischke is now at peace! 

She passed away on the morning of Sunday, August 11th, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her loving and supportive daughter Martina Mischke by her side.

Her humour, laughter, wit and wisdom will be missed by family and friends.  She was a very strong, warm and giving person.  She would light up the room with her smile and charismatic personality.

Predeceased by her beloved and ambitious husband Juergen Mischke (March 2018) of nearly 55 years.  Also predeceased by her siblings Agnes van der Sluis-van Bree, Theo van Bree, Leny Götzen-van Bree and Dolly van Bree.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Mom, may you soar with the angels above, with no more pain!  

She kept a copy of the following poem with her.

Fill Not Your Heart

Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow,

but remember me in every tomorrow.

Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,

I've only gone to rest a little while.

Although my leaving causes pain and grief,

my going has eased my hurt and given me relief.

So dry your eyes and remember me not as I am now,

but as I use to be. 

Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile, understand, in your hearts,

I've only gone to rest a little while.
