Obituary of Terence Brian BRAIN
Terence Brain
April 1, 1941 - July 12, 2024
The family of Terence Brain is deeply saddened to announce his passing on July 12, 2024, at the age of 83, after a 3 year battle with ALS.
Born in Yorkley Woods, England on April 1, 1941, he was the son of Elsie (1992) and Wilfred (1992). He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Sheena, stepchildren Shelly (Mark), Sean (Debbie), Steve (Lorraine), Todd and grandchildren Kevin (Katie), Nicole, Alyssa (Chris), Nick, Lucas (Holly), Ryley, Kaitlyn (Simon), Justin (Shawna), Melanie (Brandon), and great-grandchildren Harrison, Finnley, Remington, Corbin & Amelia. Also survived by two daughters who reside in England, Andrea and Trista. He will be missed by his sisters in England, Maureen & Barbara (Dave), and his other extended family members and friends, both here and across the pond.
In 1960, Terry graduated from the City & Guilds of London Institute as an Industial Engineer, a career which he remained active in right up until a few months before his passing. He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed many trips throughout the years, including the annual family trek to Myrtle Beach, which became a loved tradition. An avid plane enthusiast, he loved everything to do with aviation and in recent years loved to take the great-grandkids to the Hamilton Airport to watch the planes coming and going. Although he never did get his pilots licence, Terry now has his "wings".
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Headwaters Health Care staff in F wing and intensive care, and the exceptional paramedics and homecare workers who provided such great care and compassion to Terry in his final months. Your kindness and support went above and beyond, and we are forever grateful to each and every one of you.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc.
In lieu of flowers, donations to ALS Society in Terry's memory would be greatly appreciated.

The Day You Left
With tears we saw you suffer,
As we watched you fade away,
Our hearts were almost broken,
As you fought so hard to stay.
We knew you had to leave us,
But you never went alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day you left your home.
