A fond memory I have of my uncle Brian was when we visited him at his home in Toronto in 1979. We spent a two week holiday there along with my nana, I was seven at the time.
This particular day he took us to a very posh restaurant which was on the top floor of a very high rise building, it was called the Chateau Champlain.
I put my best dress on to look nice along side my uncle Brian who as looking very dapper in his blue blazer. The day was very special as I’d never been to such a posh restaurant and it’s a day I will never forget.

Brian's biggest dream was to return to Wales for a family reunion. He spoke to me about all the time. He wanted to come home, see his family and support his family. Sadly he never made it but I'm so glad David and I made it to Canada last year so he got a mini family reunion. He was so happy to see us and delighted to receive another favourite . . . a box of Milk Tray. We later learnt he would eat a whole layer in one sitting!
