Q: What 3 words best describe Christopher and why?
A: Kind, humorous and a dear friend are my words to describe Chris. I was blessed to know him. Our friendship spanned decades. He was a wonderful father and husband. My husband considered Chris his best friend. Chris loved coffee, hockey, the Jays, his cars, bike and nature but above all, he loved his family.
Deepest condolences to his family.
Chris, you are forever in our hearts.

Chris was such a wonderful combination of strength and gentleness. We always enjoyed his strong convictions on what was best for his family and humanity! It was great fun watching the girls grow up parallel to our sons from babies to young children. Even more fun to hear about their achievements as adults! Chris and Linda, you've done a wonderful job helping your daughters make a difference, too in our world!

Every now and then you're fortunate to meet a person you can't help but like; they're not self absorbed but listen to you, they're not boisterous but more prone to send accolades your way and most of all they're easy to around. They never make you feel awkward and even when you stumble; they're there to cushion your fall. Together with his loving wife Linda, this is how Chris always conducted himself. While Chris would be the first to point to Linda as his guiding force and she certainly assisted :) , those around him knew he was a loving force all on his own as the two were both important parts of a loving couple.
Chris will always be watching and guiding his family; it was his way.
R.I. P. to a great man and an even better example of how to conduct your life.

Chris was my close friend and much more. He was always there for me. He advised me on so many things that I've lost track. He was my mentor at work and always seemed to know the right thing to say. We shared a common interest in cars and his knowledge was so impressive that I found myself asking him how diagnose problems in our vehicles. He tought me how to play squash and proceeded to whomp me at every game we played. He was my therapist when problems seem to be insurmountable Chris always brought a new perspective that showed the path forward. He was my hockey consultant (and yes he knew what the leafs needed to break the drought).
I feel honored and privileged that we called each other friends.

Chris was a wonderful man. He was one of a very few men that joined us at Ellen Mitchell pool for a swim. He swam, we visited. We had a recurring laugh every day he was there. Chris always had to wait for Linda to get dressed for as we know, women have more clothes to put on, and he would wait patiently by the door for her. As I (or others), approached him he would say "wait I'll get the door for you , and push the handicap button. We thanked him and had a chuckle about it. Missed this when he wasn't able to come to the pool anymore. Chris was always our coffee maker when we had pool parties or Christmas potlucks at their home. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. My condolences to all the family. Remember the good times and the laughter you had, Rest peacefully my friend.

We remember Chris, of Blessed Memory, with a smile and love! He was truly a “Family Man”, so proud of Linda, Amy and Alison and he adored his wonderful Grandchildren. When he visited with us in Calgary, he visited the place where he spent his early childhood. He was kind and gracious, an example of “a Life well lived”. “Rest in Peace” Dear Friend!
