June 25, 1960 – June 20, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Callaway, at his home in Grand Valley, with his loving family by his side on June 20, 2024.
Brian was the loving son to Marilyn and the late Paul Callaway (1998). Brian was a dear partner to the late, Brenda Lee (2001), and a devoted brother to Clayton (Wendy) and Rosanne. He was also a great friend to Paul Barnhart. Brian was the most caring uncle to Tyler Neabel (Cassandra Davies), Tara (Owen) Langdon, Derek Callaway and Jacob (Chelsea) Callaway. Brian was Great-Uncle to Mason, Peyton, Olivia, Blake, Carter, and Spencer. Brian was also a loving nephew of Carol Halliday and Barb Clayton and the late Sue Brundle. Brian was the first and most adored grandson for many years to the late Rilla Clayton Bayne.
As per Brian’s wishes, he has been cremated and private family service will take place at the Grand Valley Union Cemetery. A Celebration of Life for Brian will take place at Brian's property (322311 Concession Rd 6-7 Grand Valley, Ontario L9W 0X3) on Saturday July 20, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
As Brian had such an amazing community of close friends and family throughout his life, we encourage you to come and share those precious memories during the open-mic memorial service. As per Brian's wishes, we will have a live band that will perform his favourite music.
In lieu of flowers, Brian requested that any donations be made to the Grand Valley Minor Hockey Association in memory of him.

“A Letter From Heaven”
I’m writing this from Heaven,
Where I dwell with God above,
Where there’s no more
tears or sadness,
There’s just eternal love.
When you are walking down the street
And you’ve got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps,
Only half a step behind.
And when you feel that gentle breeze,
Or the wind upon your face
That’s me giving you a great big hug
Or just a soft embrace
And when its time for you to go
From that body to be free
Remember you’re not going
You are coming here to me
