Robert (Bob) Gordon Morley of Shelburne, Ontario, passed away peacefully May 28th, 2024 at the age of 85.

He is survived by his wife Lynne Barbara Morley (nee Hannah), his beloved children Sandra (Steve), Bob Jr. (Tammy) and grandchildren Kayden, Taitum, Saige, Tanner, Teagan, Chase and Nathan.  Also surviving are his sisters Carol and Susan, brother Bruce (Linda), and brothers-in-law Bruce Hannah (Cindy), Ian Hannah and sister-in-law Louise Siberry (John) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bob is predeceased by his parents Harold and Mabel (nee Drury).  Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Harry Green and Douglas Hannah and sister-in-law Marlaine Carter.

Bob was born in Toronto, Ontario on September 25, 1938.  After 6 years of courtship Bob & Lynne began their life together on September 21, 1968 and moved to a farm near Mount Forest where they had everything to learn coming from the city.  In 1980 they moved their young family to Shelburne where they created a beautiful life for not only their children, but everyone that was lucky enough to know them.

Bob spent many years as the 'chip man' in town working for Hostess Frito-Lay and after his retirement became known as the ‘shadow man’ that sold many shadow figures on their corner lot at Third Ave and Owen Sound St.  Bob was an avid car guy from the time he got his first street rod the "banana wagon".  Bob travelled with his family and friends throughout Canada and the US going to many car shows, pulling his camper "The Morley Mansion" behind his 1932 Chevy and later his 1940 Cadillac Lasalle.  Bob & Lynne travelled later in life with friends to many hot islands as well as multiple trips yearly to New Hampshire where their daughter Sandra lives with her family.  Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed everything from hosting mid-school day lunches to cheering at hockey games in his team hoodies.

Bob's family will cherish their memories of camping, rides in the 40, Christmas morning gifts being handed out from the tree gate and his famous spicy Caesars.

Bob had a kind soul, a youthful sense of humor, and a genuine love of life and will truly be missed by those whose lives he touched.

Cremation has taken place, and family and friends will be celebrating Bob's Life on July 27th, 2024 from 1 pm - 4 pm at the Shelburne Royal Canadian Legion Branch 220, Backhall.  The Shelburne Royal Canadian Legion is located at 203 William Street, Shelburne, ON L9V 3L6.
