Obituary of Rob Mark THOMPSON

December 15, 1969 - May 23, 2024

Rob was born in Toronto on December 15, 1969 to Murray and Joan Thompson. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1992. As a young man Rob overcame great personal challenges and was able to build a satisfying and rewarding life for himself.  Rob faced his recent cancer diagnosis with amazing courage and stoicism and passed away on May 23, 2024.

Rob is fondly remembered by his sister Meghan, with many wonderful childhood moments with her beloved brother. As adults, Rob, his sister, Meghan, and her husband, Phil, enjoyed antique hunting and ‘thrifting’ which would at times turn into beautifully refinished antique and vintage pieces. They also loved planning renovation and decor projects and trying out new recipes and restaurants.

Rob’s other hobbies were science fiction both movies and novels, and he enjoyed reading about Chinese and Celtic history.

His passing leaves a huge hole in our lives and he will be forever in our hearts.
