Obituary of Diane Isabella MILLER

Please share a memory of Diane to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

January 26, 1952 - May 7, 2024

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Isabella Miller (nee Robertson) while surrounded by loved ones at Headwaters Health Centre on Tuesday, May 7th, at 1:00 a.m.  Diane was the fourth of five children born to Audrey and William Robertson, on January 27th, 1952.  She is survived by her children - Lindsay (Ryan), Brett and Owen (Heather); and her five beautiful grandchildren - Logan, Keegan, Kolby, Tucker and Elle.  Dearly missed and loved by her siblings Cheryl, Bill (Jan) and Marlene “Rose” (Rob), and sister-in-law Sandra; lovingly remembered in the hearts of her nieces, nephews and friends. Diane was predeceased by her adoring husband, Paul, who lost his battle with cancer (January 6, 2020), and her sweet sister Susan (March 14, 1986).

Always a warm and welcoming hostess on any occasion, Diane shone the brightest during Christmas season, bringing together her extended family for a picture perfect and delectable feast.  It was never a chore for Diane to take care of her family, her home and her garden, as she loved to make others happy, especially when it came to making use of her talented culinary and decorating skills.

If you were ever the fortunate recipient of one of Diane's thoughtful gifts, you would be in awe of her remarkable sense of knowing what the perfect gift would be.  Diane was an avid crafter, and had a keen fashion sense.  Selecting clothing that would flatter your skin tone, or making you something truly unique Diane never missed an opportunity to make you feel special.

Not your run of the mill “soccer mom”, Diane was a supporter of every sport in which her children participated.  On the lacrosse field, by the pool, the dance floor or at the hockey arena, Diane brought along enough noisemakers to ensure the participants she supported felt like they were in the big leagues.  More than just a mother of an athlete or an equipment manager, Diane was an integral part of the team.

While no celebration of life is currently planned, the family welcomes donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Diane.
