So sorry to find out at this late date of Don's passing. He was the best baseball coach I ever had! We won the championship 7 years in a row! When he couldn't be my coach anymore it just wasn't the same. I tried the mixed league but the coaching was terrible and I decided not to continue playing. Thanks for the experience and the memories!

Don I hope you are sitting beside a stream .
You will be missed in so many ways, but the one I always liked was your keeping score of who caught the most fish, no one could calculate like you .
I was lucky to call you my friend / brother .

Dear Brenda and family,
I was so sorry to read about Don’s passing. I met Don and Brenda through Westminster United Church and was in a book club with them. Don was always kind and I remember him explaining what to look for in a point and shoot camera for our Safari trip 6 years ago. Brenda, may you and your family feel the love and warmth from all those who knew Don. The comfort of the Creator surrounds you. Don’s smile will be missed. You are all in my prayers.
Lovingly,
Karen Cronkwright

Don and I sometimes shared photography stories. I was impressed that he maintained a traditional darkroom for as long as he did after digital tech came on the scene.
I was amazed at the landscape he created with shapes made from melted glue from his workplace at the time.

Don was a wonderful brother-in-law and friend.
We will always remember the happy times we all spent together at Sauble. Especially the delicious Thanksgiving dinner Don prepared over a campfire.
We miss you.

Don was doing photography with the youth Sunday School when I first met him. All of them seemed to enjoy what they were doing and discussions they had.
I always enjoyed my conversations with Don and Brenda at coffee and conversation. During our last visit with Don, I told him that I missed him at the pancake supper. He perked up and said “when was it? I’m sorry that I missed it.” We chuckled, reminisced how many pancakes Don could eat. He always said it was because Brenda couldn’t eat them, so he was eating for the two of them. Don is going to be missed.
Brenda, you and the girls and your family, are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I always enjoyed the lane swim at theTony Rose pool with Don, especially the discussions afterwards. Don would always swim farther than I would, and would point this out with his subtle sense of humour. I wish I'd known he was into camping, and I'm sure he'd have been a fine mate. Our condolences to Brenda and family.

Don was quiet and very kind person, and he will missed by his writing friends. I know he is in a place where he will have many 'best sellers'. Peace to you, Don.

I have so many memories of Don – Every morning, when I was in high school, he used to be there, at the kitchen table, waiting to bring Brenda to work when he was at Graetz Brothers. I was a bridesmaid at their wedding! And then I used to visit him and Brenda when they lived in NDG . And then, when he joined my taekondo club, and worked so hard to get his orange belt it was really great. I always enjoyed talking to him about the things that interested him. And then over the years, visiting him and Brenda and the children in Orangeville—so many good times. I am so glad I was able to see him at Christmas this past year. And I am especially glad that he got to finish the book he wrote about his family. Don, you were a wonderful person to know. You will be missed!
