I have warm memories of Uncle Paul. Frequent gatherings at his mother's house with the whole Serenko family. They got bigger as the new spouses and later, the children, came along. But there was always good food, good laughs and good company at the big house on Westmount Avenue. Uncle Paul was very witty and loved cracking jokes. When we tried to take group photos in the living room, he always said, "Okay, no one can smile...these are old country pictures!" I hope he is smiling down on us now. Rest in peace, Uncle Paul.

I remember when my Uncle Paul was a young man many years ago and decided to get away from it all and drove to Mexico in his old reliable Volvo. When he came back he told us about his adventures... I remember years later when he owned a sailboat and kept it moored at the Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club in Humber Bay and I asked him to teach me how to sail and he agreed to meet me some Sunday mornings and was always late. But it was fun learning to sail and drinking warm beer because there was no ice... I remember when he was a tool-and-die maker with his partner Richard and got his picture in the paper and later lost a finger when it was in the wrong place at the wrong time... I remember his deep friendship with Art, they called each other Bud... I remember when he shared his secret parking spot at Greenwood Race Track with me... I remember when he married the love of his life Gunn, he was the happiest ever. My Uncle Paul had a great sense of humour and a big warm smile, I'm gonna miss him. My condolences to his family.
