I remember the times that we used to explore the ravine together, and I could talk to you about anything. You were always able to make me smile and laugh. I remember the time that you taught me how to play badminton and how every time we came to visit, we would always play together. I love you and I miss you, but I'll always treasure the memories we made together.

My first memory of Nicole is when Brad invited me over to meet his family. Nicole would have been 5 years old. She was a sweet child with a head full of curls and a bright smile. Her love for her brother was obvious as she welcomed me into the family.
We were a close knit family, spending weekend dinners at Grandma Margaret’s, as well as all the other holidays and birthdays. I was privileged to watch Nicole grow up; she was always busy, in lots of sports and also in the cadets. We shared a love of horror movies and had similar tastes in music. We always had a great time together no matter where we were.
She was a loving Aunt to Sara, Evelyn and David.
We cherish so many memories of time at the cottage and even had a family vacation at Disney and Universal Studios with all our children together. They loved spending time with her as she doted on them. I was proud to see her go off to college, and to celebrate her marriage and the birth of Aaron and Ty.
Nicole, I will never forget your bright smile and your joy for life. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

Words cannot express the grief that is felt when someone you love is ripped away from you so suddenly. When I heard the news, I was in complete denial. Auntie Nicole was an incredible person. One of my favorite memories that comes to mind is the trip to Florida we took as a family with Mom, Dad, David and Sara. We met Aunt Nicole, Nana and the boys at universal. We went on so many rides and we were constantly smiling and laughing. Towards the end of the day, I wanted to go on a Harry Potter rollercoaster. I remember Aunt Nicole grabbing my hand and us running over to the ride together. I'll never forget how her smile and laugh lit up the room, no matter where we were. She would always make sure we were having fun at family get togethers and would let me win when we played tennis in the park across from the backyard. I love you, Aunt Nicole. I wish we had more time together.

I don't have the words to express the sadness of your loss and that of your family and loved ones. You were always such a bright light and there are so very many happy memories we shared together. You will live on through those memories of happy times and forever be in our hearts.

My heart aches knowing you're gone... you were an amazing friend, mother, daughter and so much more!
Those who knew the real you were blessed that you came into their lives! You wore your heart on your sleeve and would give the shirt off your back to anyone who needed it. I will cherish all our memories together... many sleepovers when we were just kids, play dates with our kids as we grew into motherhood and even coming to watch your baseball games. You were there for me at some of my worst times and always knew how to make me smile again. I will forever hold those times in my heart.
I will miss you beyond words....
Until we meet again
May you rest in paradise...
Love,
Colleen Cowen

When someone you love passes on, they leave behind a legacy of memories. My heart holds a treasure trove of love for each memory that we share. These can never be taken away. You were truly an amazing person and touched everyone who knew you in someway or another, at least one of someones good memories, will include you in it.
Rest in peace Nicole. I love you.
