I was deeply saddened to hear of Dean's passing. I knew him as a sweet lttle boy and a young man. He was always ready for a new adventure and his presence lit up a room when he entered. My deepest condolences to his family at this difficult time. Rest in peace, Dean.

When Ashley first introduced us to Dean we hit it off right away. He had such a genuinely unique personality and loved to tell stories. I remember our dog Whisky took a particular liking to him, and he was always happy to see him, as were we. Sitting on our balcony having lunch we could see how much Dean cared for his friends and most importantly, for Ashley. We would always have a great time together, usually discussing travel plans over a nice meal.
We saw Dean and Ashley’s incredible talent in action rebuilding Main Street Station in record time. They were a dynamic duo and an unstoppable force. You could see how proud he was of what they had built when we got together on opening weekend. It was such a great time and an evening we will never forget.
Dean will always have a special place in our hearts and we will miss him very much. Our heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to Ashley and their families. Rest in Peace Dean, you were a truly great soul and will always be remembered!

The minute Dean and I met we clicked instantly. We would talk and see each other everyday. He would always push me to be the best version of myself and took me under his wing to show me all his amazing ways and ideas. He quickly became a huge part of my life and the loss of him has greatly impacted me but I will never forget all our talks and hangouts and amazing memories we made. When meeting dean I also got to meet the amazing Ashley and Katie. He loved them with his whole heart and I'm glad I get to be apart of seeing that side of him and meeting them. You will forever be missed "bestie". Till we meet again.

In the short time I knew him he was so kind, totally wild and talked a mile a minute. He would send me text messages just to check in and leave me kind words. I did have the honour of bossing his ass around Main Street for a night and he was just like a kid in a candy store in that place. So proud…. I will treasure the text messages he would send and the few memories I have of him and I am glad I got to spend just a little bit of time with him.

As someone who only knew Dean for a short amount of time compared to others, he made such a positive impact on myself and those around him❤️ My heart goes out to his whole family especially my girls Ashley and Katie. Dean connected instantly with “beer store ben” and was constantly cracking jokes, telling us his great ideas for the restaurant, and making those around him feel comfortable and at home. I think the thing I’ll miss most is hearing his laugh echo through the restaurant and seeing him connect with people. Thank you for everything Dean. All my love, my friend, you are so missed. - Liv

Dean was an incredible man. So knowledgeable about so many things, full of passion and amazing ideas. He packed so much into a life cut too short. My favourite memories are sitting, swapping stories and just hanging out. And so much fun doing trivia!! We’ll do our best to keep Zzyzx going. We love you Dean and will miss you with all our hearts!
