We purchased the property beside Murray and Linda in 2021 and Murray was our first visitor. We will miss our friend….his many stories and his kind generosity. Sending so much love to Linda. We were so glad to have known him…even for such a short time.

It always seemed to me that Murray was an old time cowboy caught in the modern world -- better meant to ride the range on a trusty steed.
He was a rough and tumble fella with deep wisdom and a sweet soul full of surprises.
Linda was his true north star, guiding him home from the road. I watched his eyes light up with love every time he looked at her.
Thanks to both of them for making my landing in a new place welcoming and kind.
Murray, I think of you when I see the stars in the wintery night sky -- and when I remember to put up my windshield wipers.
I miss your throaty laugh and the mischievous little sparkle in you eyes. Ride on cowboy.

What I miss
His hand slipping into mine
Dancing in every room
Flowers for no reason
His jokes and tricks that I could never figure out
His calls every night and when stuck in traffic
His laughter
Compliments ..If Murray liked something he would tell you but if he didn't you were still likely going to hear it
Murray was a good soul and for the most part liked everyone

My memories of Murray
-how happy and thrilled he was when he brought Linda’s engagement ring
-both of us reading our Westerns while Linda puttered
-climbing around and down the Mono Caves
-DANCING with all of us
-how proud and happy he was with his Ayr motors truck
-enjoying a few beers
-he enjoyed feeding and watching the ducks and deer
-seeing him watching the lake with his morning coffee and cigarette

Murray was a sweet soul with a loving, helpful heart. His love for Linda was without reserve. He loved her deep and true. Murray was a kind man and a patient man. I experienced his kindness and helpfulness on many occasions during the few years I knew him. I heard he was a beautiful dancer but I never did get to see him dance let alone have the honour of dancing with him in spite of his many promises!
Murray was taken too soon and the world is left just a little emptier in spirit without him.

Condolences to you Linda and the whole Wilson family on the passing of Murray. We had a blast as kids when we got together as cousins. I enjoyed the pop-in visits in Calgary when he was in the neighborhood on his travels. We were looking forward to the planned visit this spring on the homeward leg of your winter get away but sadly that was not to be. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

My friend and band mate lived next door to Murray. 20 years ago, the band and i would practice in Murray's garage 2-3 times a week. He was a huge support for us. He let us use his property whenever we wanted. He let us borrow his lawn tractor and trailer to lug our equipment around. He'd even share a few cold ones with us when he was home.
He was a kind man. Supportive, funny, and fun. He contributed to our band, and in turn, some of the best memories of my life.
All my heart goes to John and the family.

Murray will be forever remembered in the faces of his son and grandsons and in the hearts of all he met. He was forever proud of his son, John, and his grandbabies, Hayden and Kainnan. He is missed terribly by all.
