It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Jim on Thursday June 22, 2023 of Arthur formerly of Grand Valley. He passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital with family by his side in his 86th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret (nee Nicholls) Loving father of James (Shannon), Robbie (Paula), predeceased by son John (2012). Beloved Poppy to his grandchildren; Bethany, Billy, Kevin, Chris and Nick.
 

He will be sadly missed by all his brothers and sisters, Nicholls family and all his nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Newfoundland and came to Ontario in 1957. He was in the grocery business all his life and opened his own IGA store in Grand Valley in 1975. He loved what he did and thoroughly enjoyed all the people he met over the years. His infectious laugh could be heard all through the store. A special thank you to Caressant Care Arthur for the care given to him this past year.

As per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life is entrusted to In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc. and will be held at 28 Main St. North, Grand Valley from 11:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday July 8, 2023.

Words of Remembrance will take place at 12:30pm.
