It's taken me a long time to write something in this book, because nothing seems quite right. below are a few of our memories over the last few years.
I don’t know how many times in 30 degree heat, Me dressed in full gear, slightly frustrated with him because he wanted to take yet another picture lol! I’m so glad he did.
Classic Jamie with some help of his friends, decided to pickup my bike in New Brunswick, put it on the cottage porch, pose for pictures and than decorate it with their underwear. I’ll spare you the half naked pic of this day. Coffee the next morning was interesting.
And the last photo: Awful exposure (i know) Dancing in the rain in Haliburton. It was in my opinion the best of our nights on our highland loop tour in the summer of 2021. You can clearly see him smiling with Andrea next to him. This is how i will remember him. He made the best of whatever the circumstance and was always laughing.
They will be missed and I hope in time when you look at all the wonderful memories, you’ll smile. xx

Jamie every room you step into lit up because of you! I had the pleasure of meeting you when I was 15 at Holbrooks! I wanted so badly to stay watch the camefire poets play and you let me I just wasnt allowed to leave the booth...I hadnt really seen you much until this past March where we saw you at Motorama and as soon as you looked at me you said"MINOR" and that nickname stuck. I will always be happy that we got to see you in then even it was just in passing quickly! Rest easy and fly high!!!!!

I have so many fond memories of Jamie, from night skiing/boarding at Hockley, to impromptu Wasaga beach trips to cliff jumping at Elora and racing people in Shawn's Prelude lol.
One of my favorite memories is when Jamie was our DJ/MC for our wedding, 25 years ago this June!
He was just starting this venture back then, and was clearly talented! He had absolutley everyone up and dancing all night long. He had the gift to bring people together from all backgrounds in celebration and always made any person he spoke to feel special. While we moved away from Orangeville and it's been several years since we last saw Jamie in person, it never felt that long or far, I will miss following his daily adventures and of course, selfies. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. ❤️Chantal & Shawn Murdoch

So many memories with Jamie it's hard to pick one but he always laughed about the storage unit. Late night after the bar how my dad hopped the fence for a noise complaint working for the Orangeville Police and the 3 loud bangs on the unit door to our surprise as we made some CD mixes. One of many funny & happy memories that I will never forget, wish we could make more. Will always miss you Jamie :(

I remember vividly the first time I met Jamie. 38 years ago, in a pool hall at the corner of Jane and Lawrence in Toronto. I wasn't used to seeing a mullet where I grew up (Jane & Trethewey), but here he was, with that memorable laugh and smirk. Little did I know that this skinny kid would become my best friend, a brother, and someone my entire family welcomed in (he had nicknames for everyone, some I cannot write here).
Jamie is the one who introduced my parents to Orangeville when they wanted to get out of the city. My parents called him son, and when my nana Stella passed, I will never forget the outpouring of love, tears, and respect he showed. But that was Jamie. For those he considered a friend, he would do anything for you. One of a kind, and while complex in certain ways, the Jamie I grew up with treasured life and the people around him. His presence in a room was always felt, he enjoyed meeting people wherever he went and shared bonds with folks from all walks of life. There is not another person I know, whose loss of life would have this great of an impact in sheer numbers.
And while there has been plenty of tears, let's not forget how Jamie would want us to live. He would want us to come together over music. To dance, enjoy drinks, good eats, and share plenty of hugs.
There are no words that can explain the emptiness I feel, but my heart is full of memories of this guy. Until we meet again brother.
Love and condolences to his family.

I was blessed to be given the greatest gift from Jamie, our son Noah James Ferris. I'm so proud that we have become great friends and even better co-parents over the last 11 years or so. Noah is growing up to be a wonderful young man and I am very grateful that Noah has so many fun and amazing memories with his father. Jamie was loved by many and loved just as much. We will miss many things about Jamie, but that we will miss the most.

Thank you Jamie for all you have done for the Qwest riders and fund raising. Even though Auston and I ride in the scooter, you got both of us into giving back to the community. The autism speaks ride, Toys for tots and the food drive was awesome and fun. Going to miss both you and Lola at the bikes and blues festival. At least Auston and could keep up to all of you in town anyway. Our sincere condolences to the families of both. May you ride in Heaven always. And Gods best DJ. You will rock in Heaven as well.

Q: What will you miss most about James?
A: Jamie, there are so many words that I want to say, that I cant even think of to say other than you were the best baby Brother in the world. Always checking in on me with a "hey sister!" Sending hilarious random photos and videos. I've known you since the day you were born.. I've seen it all, the fun, the crazy, and most of all the Love. The love you had for us, your beautiful girls Brilee and Tayah, Noah and your new little love, Grandbaby Ava. Your new Great Nephew was lucky to meet you and we will make sure he knows you, through stories, pics and videos. He would have been your sports buddy with Ava, going to all the games when they were old enough. You are never going to be forgotten. Never. Our last conversation that day, will always be in my mind. And your last "love ya sis, talk to ya tomorrow, heading out for my ride" As I told you to drive safe and we'd pick up where we left off tomorrow. It still doesn't seem real, how could this be real? I will miss you so very much, forever and always. Mom must have been surprised when you arrived with your wings. I know you are both watching over us now from Heaven. You are in all of the sunsets I see. xo <3

My stand out memory of Jamie was when I celebrated my 30th birthday at the old TJ's Hanger, where Jamie was the DJ that night. My friends and I had the absolute best time on the dance floor. Jamie noticed that I vibed with his set so much that he called me over to the DJ booth just to give me a CD of that night's set! He didn't even know it was my birthday, I think he just admired we had the same love for good music. I still have that CD! The last time I saw him I asked him if he remembered doing that and he did not! Lol. He truly does have a heart of gold. We lost a good one. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his family find comfort in his protection from above.

A: One thing that I will never forget about my dad was when he said (The apple does not fall far from the tree) with a little laugh and I’ll tell u he was right as we both had the same passion for motorcycle’s motorcycles were what made him happy and it did the same for me when he helped me buy my first bike and him teaching me how to ride so I could be just like him.

I have been fortunate to have known Jamie for many years. The impact he had on the boxing crew and myself is unequivocally immeasurable.
He was in my corner (literally, during the boxing days) when I needed him. He celebrated my successes and stood by me during some tough times. He fostered a fun and loving environment at the boxing gym that made a group of unathletic, awkward adolescents become boxing champions, and more importantly, best friends. He gave us the confidence to become successful in and out of the boxing ring. I owe so much of my success to him. Beyond the boxing gym, Jamie was a great friend and it’s fair to say everyone loved. He was the type of person who was uplifting, and made you feel better when he was around.
Jamie taught me many lessons in life, including to love the people around me, and to enjoy life, always.
Rest in Peace, Jamie. I love You, brother. Thank you for wonderful memories that I promise will live on. God bless the family and I pray they find comfort.

Jamie was an amazing influence on my son. We met him as a boxing instructor in Barrie and both of us formed an instant bond. Jamie took Mark under his wing and coached him until eventually the gym closed. We remained friends and when Jamie opened Holbrooks we would make the trek to Orangeville for every Super Bowl. I had the pleasure to be a friend of Jamie back in my Orangeville days. Hanging out at the Orangeville Mall, riding half pipes or just hanging out, Jamie was a delight to be around. We recently connected and it was just like old times, shooting the breeze.
Having watched him grow on Facebook into the man he came to be, he lived a life of fun and carefree abandon, always living life to the fullest. He was a very generous soul who would find ways to help others who weren't as fortunate. Toy drives, fundraisers....he brought smiles to so many. He will be missed by so many. I am so thankful that I was able to call him a friend.
Rest in peace bud and I will continue to live by your motto....."Live life to the fullest because you don't know how many sunsets you're going to get" Till we meet again. Condolences to his children, family and friends

Honestly, what can a person say? “My condolences” or “my thoughts go out to you” hardly seems like enough, when it comes to Jamie. To describe Jamie would have to include words like electric personality, heart of gold and remarkable. For he was all of those. He put his family before everything. He loved his iron riding brothers and sisters. The laughs. That laugh is something I will truly miss! No words can truly express the emptiness left behind.
So blast those highways, my friend. We will share the wind again some day!

Jamie. Was an absolute beautiful soul he had the kind of energy you never wanted to leave whenever he was around. He would always give a hug whenever he saw you, and would instantly make you feel loved and appreciated any chance he could. My father and mother in law were family to Jamie, he had a major impact on myself, husband, and my two beautiful children Hudson and Oliver. Hudson spent many nights laughing, joking, learning to box, and chasing Jamie aorund. Hudson looked up to Jamie he was the big kid that Hudson could always be himself around. Jamie was one of the first to meet Oliver, and I remember that day he was so proud and couldn’t stop praising Jon and I on how proud he was. Our entire family will be missing you everyday Jamie you truly were a radiant force of love and energy that no one could ever explain how much you will be missed. I will remember to pray for you at every sunset that rises. May you rest in peace Ferris we love you and are holding the Casey family close while we grieve this tragic loss. My heart goes out to the whole Ferris family. I've known Jamie a long time and no matter when you saw Jamie that little grin or smile was the first thing you saw. When he said your name he always elongated it to sound longer but always made you feel welcome . He was larger than life for sure and it was evident that the most important thing in his life was his family and that beautiful new granddaughter. The pride he had in all his pictures of his family just glowed. His daughter is right that there will ever be another like him. I was honored to know him.

Absolutely no one can match the Charisma of Jamie Ferris! Thanks for all the good conversations Jamie; the mix tapes, the dancing, vulnerable heart to hearts, work outs and endless laughs♡ I know he is well equipped for his new role as a Guardian Angel to his most beloved. You know damn well he's not resting in peace, he'll be smiling away and having a good time over there! My condolences to his family. You will meet again.

I met Jamie in public school grade 6
He would ride his bmx from school to school and sit on the sidewalk with his bike and became friends with everyone from every public school in town
Him walking me home from school
Hang outs in the McDonald’s parking lot as he always rode in on some dirt bike or street bike lol
Sitting while he made me new cds full of our love for old school RnB.
(Numerous times)
Wasaga beach days with you
You crashing me and my date at Sandy’s wedding so you could use our shower lol trying to convince my date I was your sister lol (always thinking ahead )
The jokes and the memories we shared with each other I’ll always cherish.
I was lucky enough to share a lot of time with him and his mom Rose
There was no woman he loved more then his moma.
We’ve laughed and we’ve cried together. I miss you Jamie and love you

Jaime…you were my brother from another, I loved all the random I love you texts. From grade 8 to now, you were one of the only people from Oville that I continued to have a relationship with. We will all miss you terribly. Forever in my ❤️.

My deepest sympathies to his family. Jamie had a special way of making people feel loved. He was an expert in the field of the shock factor, you never knew what he was going to do. He always made those around him smile and laugh. He succeeded in every challenge he took on. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. His spirit will remain in our heart but he will fly free.
