I like many others met Tyson at Durham College and quickly became close with him. We hit many parties, shared many laughs, and became great friends. Tyson and I were both born in '83 so we were considered the elders of the group. Tyson had a few months on me so every birthday I'd be sure to message a "Happy Birthday Old Fart" to which he'd always have some sort of sharp comeback in his defense how I was just as old as a fart as he was. He was one of the boys and basically lived at our house on Dalhousie.
Ty was such an inspiration, no matter how many obstacles he had to overcome he always remained positive! His smile would light up the room. We had so many fun times and created many great memories that I will never forget.
TY will be missed dearly, but never forgotten. Thank you Jepsons for sharing him with us. We are blessed to have known him.
Love you forever TY.

Bruce & Karen, Marg & Roy, Ryan & Tami.
Tyson really was a remarkable young man and over came so many obstacles.
We loved him as soon as he came into the Fletcher family.
We last saw him in September ‘22 when we visited Stratford for a baseball tournament.
He was so pleased to share his town of Stratford with us.
We will miss him calling us Auntie Minnie & Uncle Al.
Rest in peace our dear Tyson.

Dear Bruce, Karen, Marg and Ryan and all of Tyson's family and friends.
I was so saddened to hear of Tyson's passing away.
My early memories of Tyson are at Bluewater Beach where he excelled at showing how capable he was, with a smile on his face. He left such an impression on me.
Many years later, as an adult, he made my dad, Alan Essex, very happy. They would bump in to each other in the health care setting, Tyson still wearing his smile and extending a fond greeting, still leaving a happy impression with the people he met. It meant a lot to my dad.
RememberingTyson spreading his goodness.
Take good care,
Karin Essex

Dearest Bruce, Karen and family,
Our heartfelt sympathy to you and to Tyson’s mother and to all who cherished him so much. The one thing I think of when I think of Tyson is his smile – and clearly, by the other tributes here, it was quite special. His strength, like his smile, touched so many. We know your handsome son and brother will be missed so much. Rest in peace dearest Tyson.
Special love,
Caroline & Eddie O’Keeffe

Tyson was special to me. He was my first full time student at Mono Amaranth Public School. He was such a positive, vibrant person who took every challenge that was thrown his way in his stride. His mom and Roy helped him to have such a great attitude, and not "wimp out". He will be missed by all who knew him I'm sure. He was that kind of person. My condolences to Marg and Roy and Ryan, and the other family that I did not know.

My Mom worked in facilities management at Stratford General Hospital with all the trades boys. I often visited and seeing “the boys” was a one of my favourite parts of going to visit and Tyson was such a happy man; it was contagious. Regardless of the day, anytime I saw him he had a smile on his face which was even more contagious and it will surely be missed. He made overcoming his daily obstacles look like a breeze and is truly an inspiration to many. Tyson you will be missed; rest easy ❤️

Our friendship started on the 5th floor of residence at Durham College and over the years saw late nights, many laughs and more memories than I could count.
His quick wit could always be counted on for a good joke. T-Y was always one of the boys and he inspired everyone he met with his positivity and perseverance.
Until we meet again my friend, you will be dearly missed. Love you buddy!

Even though life was challenging for Tyson, he always greeted us with a smile. He was proud to show off his chicken coop when he was younger. Nothing was beyond his capabilities. He was a huge help when we shingled our roof and he was there, sleeves rolled up and worked tirelessly alongside the rest of the crew. Our fondest memory was the night Tyson dropped in and we sat out under the stars enjoying a beverage and chatting for hours. His body may have failed him in the end, but his spirit accepted every challenge with a desire to win. We will miss him, and whenever we think things are tough we will think of Tyson and realize the true meaning of overcoming obstacles.
With our condolences to the family
