Tanner was someone who immediately made you feel like you had been friends for a long time.
He was one of my dad's favourite students at St. Andrew's.
Thinking about his passing still hurts a year on.
He is always smiling in my memories.
I am so sorry.
The world lost a good one.
Story:
I didn't know Tanner well. We were in different classes in elementary school and my dad was his teacher. While lined up for something (church maybe or some school function), Tanner was in line beside me. With my dad leading this line of silent 12 or 13-year olds, Tanner blurts out loudly "Hey Jordan keep your pants on!"
We all laughed.
I did not feel teased, I felt like I was the star of a good joke.
Thanks, Tanner.
And yes, my pants were, and did remain, on.

Ashton,
I still remember from your first day at school in Orangeville sitting beside me, from the paintball games at Sargeant Splatters to the whip wars and snowball fights during recess. To longboarding and all the ridiculousness we shared throughout.
Parting ways after that until bumping into you last year at the blues and jazz fest for the first time since then. How we found out that we just missed eachother at a local job we did and both went into the same field of work after that.
You gave us the best of times my old pal. Always were a good kid since the start. I inspire to have the good nature you brought with you wherever.
Fare thee well brother

I was deeply saddened when I learned that Ashton had died.
My meagre knowledge of Ashton was gleaned from conversations with Matt and Louise and what shone through these animated chats was that Ashton was a very kind, caring and witty young man.
His passing has without doubt left a void in all your lives and I hope that “In the shelter of each other, you find strength”.

growing up in elementary school we were very close friends, come high school we took our different paths but, ill never forget hanging out with you playing truth or dare at the alder arena. ill never forget the Quebec trip in grade 7 or any of the memories we shared at recess. you were the best partner to do school projects with. ill never forget us doing the lion king 1 1/2 play for Mrs. ditchburns drama class in grade 8. You made everyone around you so happy.
until we meet again my old friend, may your smile forever be in our hearts
Laura Deschamp.
