Obituary of Donald Michael CIUCIURA
Donald (Don/Cheech) Ciuciura
February 20, 1943 – February 23, 2023
After 6 months of health issues Don has cast his final line, days after celebrating his 80th birthday with family and friends. On February 23 with family by his side he took his last breath.
Known by many as Cheech he was a proud Preston Boy - member of the Preston Scout House, lifetime member of the Kinsmen Club(participating in many Fundraising events - such as Rock Kin roll Revival - His favourites were his role as Paul Stanley (Kiss) - and Jerry Lee Louis (Great Balls of Fire) - involved with The Canada Day fishing Derby for many years - an avid businessman, he loved fishing and hunting, Friday Night Dinners, bonfires, cooking (Our family dinners won't be same without his amazing Ukrainian dishes and his buns).
Don had a green thumb and loved spending time outdoors in his gardens (the grandkids loved his produce).
He was a dedicated family man. Leaving behind his beloved wife Dianne - his children Derek (Connie) Ciuciura and Deedee (Kevin) Norris, grandchildren, Cindy (Chris), Samantha (Shawn), Cassie (Rob), Kristen (Darren), Cody, Kourtney (Jacob) & Tyler (Winnie) and 16 great grandkids, his sister Loreen Cherry, sister in-law's Carolyn Ball, Brenda Walden (Dave), Brother In Law's Richard Waring (Debbie), Scott Waring (Tina) and many nieces and nephews.
He lived life to the beat of his own drum. Making amazing memories along the way.
Thank you to the Staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital C4 for their kindness and patience.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to a charity of your choice.
