Hendrix Bouwers

August 8, 1948 - February 22, 2023

Beloved husband of Betty Bouwers (nee Stiksma), Hendrix passed away peacefully in his sleep at 74 years of age, after a lengthy struggle with various health concerns.  Predeceased by his Father Jan and Mother Willemina (nee Welink) Bouwers. 

Loving Father of Scott (Tanya), Brenda (Andrew), Barry (Elyse), Peter (Sarah), Bonnie (Chris), Brian (Kelly), and Glen (Natalie).  Beloved Grampa to 17 beautiful grandchildren. Dear brother of Trudy (John), Henk (Hennie), Reta (John†) and Willy (Jack). Brother-in-law to Rick (Lisa), Jenette (Fred), Al (Sadie), Jim (Ruth), Bonita (Keith), Gord (Lianne), John (Laura), and Mark (Carla).

The family will receive guests for the visitation at Orangeville Canadian Reformed Church; 55 C-line, Orangeville, Ontario on Tuesday February 28, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm

Funeral service will take place at the church on Wednesday March 1, 2023 at 11:00 am. Reception following. 

The family would love for their guests to visit in person, but for those who cannot attend, please use the link to the left of this screen to view the service.  

Interment at Greenwood Cemetery will take place in Spring 2023.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Headwaters Health Care Foundation. The family would especially like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff who cared for Hendrix during his weekly blood transfusions.
