C’est avec beaucoup de peine et d’empathie que nous désirons souligner le grand courage que Yves a su démontrer tout au long de sa maladie. Son départ nous chagrine grandement. Il nous manquera c’est certain. Les petits déjeuners que nous avons pris ensemble lorsqu’il est descendu dans la Beauce à plusieurs reprises avec Maureen, nous rappellera son attachement à son coin de pays. C’est ainsi que nous offrons nos condoléances à tous les membres de sa famille et également à tous ses proches.

Sending all my love to Maureen and all whose lives were touched by Yves. I only met Yves for a few brief moments, but his generosity, humour and love for Maureen came through loud and clear. May his memory live on in those he loved and may he rest in peace.

Yves was a man of many talents. Ask him to fix or build anything and he was able to make it happen. All done with a kind heart and a genuine desire to please. This huge heart was especially apparent when he talked of his family. When he spoke of Maureen and Emilie you could tell they were his world. So proud of his daughter and over the moon that he had found Maureen. His passion for volunteer work improved his community and those in it. His passing has left a big hole in all those who knew him. We will miss you Yves.

My family send their condolences out to Maureen, Helene and Emilie as well as the entire family. Yves was a loyal friend, lion, husband and father. I have known him as long as he has been a lion and know that this District A711 will miss him at the CN E food stand, his chair of the Visual Impaired Car Rally as well as a dedicated friend who when you said I am doing my basement was there. When he and I had health issues we talked about our various symptoms and perused the occasional bottle of several single malt scotch sources. If there was a greater heart and soul lion I would say he is in the top five and served without a great deal of recognition. I will miss him and know that he is arranging in heaven for a Building project or two. God rest you buddy and you are missed already. Your friend and pal always Lion Al Woolley

Sincere condolences to the family and friends of our dearly departed Lion Yves DROUIN PRC, who joined our Lions Family in 1992 as a member of the CHINGUACOUSY Lions Club; served as Membership Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary of the BRAMPTON VILLAGE Lion Club; was a transfer member of the CALEDON Lions Club, and served in many other positions as a dedicated Lion with over 30+ years of sterling service to his club and community.
At the District level Lion Yves served as District Committee Chair Camp Dorset/PeeWee Baseball/Visually Impaired Person (VIP) Car Rally, Zone 34A Chair, Region 34 Chair, among others, and served as a valued French language translator on our MDA Hotel Hospitality Team along with his daughter Emilie for the 2014 Toronto Lions International Convention ably assisted the French delegations from Africa, France, and MD-U Quebec .
We send heartfelt kind thoughts as we mourn his loss with his loving wife Maureen, daughter Emilie and their families, as well as his many relatives, friends, and Lions family - members of the Chinguacousy/Brampton Village/Caledon Lions Clubs, in particular, and all Lions of District A-711, Multiple District A (Ontario), and Lions Clubs International (LCI).
Do take solace that "when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure", "death ends a life, not a relationship" .
May his soul rest in eternal peace and rise in glory, and may light perpetual shine upon him with strength to the family members to bear the loss.
