Obituary of Dave SMILEY

July 3, 1943 - November 15, 2022

Dave passed away peacefully, with Susan by his side at Matthews House Hospice on Tuesday, November 15th, 2022.  He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Susan Smiley (nee Holmes). He is the father of Rochelle Smiley and Debbie Lemon (Mark) of St Catherine’s and grandfather of Brooke, brother of Greg Smiley (Noreen) of Nova Scotia, brother-in-law of Grant Holmes, Greg Holmes (Heather) and Jeff Holmes (Isabel).  Predeceased by his brother Don Smiley (Edwina) and Barbara Herwick (Henry).

Dave was blessed to have 8 nieces and a nephew who he cherished their time together, and always looked forward to family gatherings whether holidays at home, camping, weekends at the cottage, boating and cruising.  Most recently (past 5 years) he loved to see his 6 great nieces and nephews, who took  time to spend with him and include him in birthday parties. He had many cherished memories.
